COMPANY BACKGROUND
Killen Trucking Company has been operating since the early 1980’s, first established in Bendigo carting fat, bone and offal for rendering. The company then began to cart raw animal by-products directly from abattoirs for processing into pet food. The company later opened a second depot in Howlong NSW and branched out into transporting blood via tankers, edible meat products and general freight both locally and interstate deliveries. Our latest transport operations have been in container cartage to the Melbourne wharfs for export of animal by-products. We have staff contactable 24 hours 7 days a week. We strive to make the road transport industry safe and reliable, and we are able to meet the demands of scheduling routes to ensure the perishable animal products are delivered in a time sensitive manner. Approximately 40 years in the industry has enabled us to develop relationships, links and contacts with numerous businesses within the meat industry throughout Australia.

OUR SPECIALISED SERVICES OFFERED
Killen Trucking Company are a specialised transport company that transport animal by-products and edible meat both within Australia and export to overseas. Additionally, we cart general freight both locally and interstate. No job is too big or too small.
We specialise in container cartage and we are equipped for import and export operations. We have the ability to book containers into the wharf due to our solid relationships with wharf operators.
Our equipment comprises of semi-trailer tautliners, skel trailers for container cartage, tankers, flat tops, refrigerated trailers and curtain sided heavy vehicles. We also have a 45-tonne container reach stacker for storage, moving and lifted loaded containers. Our diverse equipment allows us to meet the needs of our diverse range of customers.
We are PBS accredited. PBS standards are performance-based standards that offer the heavy vehicle industry the potential to achieve higher productivity and safety through innovative and optimised vehicle design. Theses standards exist to ensure that vehicles perform their tasks as productively, safely and sustainable as possible.
We have low emission E6 vehicles ensuring low environmental impact and optimal fuel efficiency passing the fuel savings back onto our customers.
We are bulk haulage with full HML (Heavy Mass Limits) accreditation and Mass management Australia Wide
All trucks and trailers are registered on a Government approved vehicle maintenance program to ensure well maintained and highly efficient transport, offering peace of mind for our customers
We offer container storage facilities and lift on and lift off container services.

Depending on transport requirements, we can customise our equipment to meet customer needs and provide a cost-effective transport logistic solution in a safe and effective manner that follows all Chain of Responsibility policies and requirements legislated in Australia.
